We consider it our responsibility to be transparent about the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects of our business, and so Q-Energy publicly, communicates and reports its strategy, and supports the global initiatives to which it adheres to, showing full alignment with ESG principles.

Q-Energy promotes sustainable practices and inclusive attitudes throughout its workplaces. We understand that our impact not only lies in our investments but also in our day-to-day operations as well. We try to promote sustainability through recycling, sustainable food and beverage procurement and supplying reusable water bottles to our employees.

In addition, to enhance relationships and connectivity throughout our teams, we have created a series of Q-Clubs, including Q-Community and Q-Knowledge, which lead events and information sharing initiatives throughout the year.

Q-Energy is committed to decarbonization and endeavours to reduce its operational and investment emissions. As such, Q-Energy has partnered with Planetly to calculate and offset our carbon footprint.

In 2020, Q-Energy calculated and offset its office consumption and employee related emissions, therefore becoming a carbon neutral company.

5. Circular economy

Q-Energy exists within a circular economy by using natural and unlimited resources as the basis for generating and selling electricity to society, thereby reducing carbon emissions. As new technologies emerge, Q-Energy will explore how to integrate asset circularity into its approach, deepening its commitment to this pillar.

Q-Energy endeavours to apply ESG on two levels: internally amongst its employees and office management, and externally across its investments. We believe that this will result in the assessment of ESG considerations at all levels, therefore allowing us to responsibly allocate our capital.
